About Product

  • B ZSB is formulated using highly efficient, living strains of beneficial soil bacteria (often Pseudomonas, Bacillus, or specific Azotobacter species) that naturally convert insoluble, locked-up zinc in the soil into a readily available and absorbable form for plants.

Technical Content

  • Zinc Solubilizing Bacteria (ZSB) Bacillus 1 X 10^8 CFU per ml

Features

  • Corrects Zinc Deficiency: Instantly addresses zinc deficiency in soils, directly preventing stunting, mottling, and crop-specific disorders like Khaira disease in rice and little leaf in cotton.
  • Boosts Growth Hormones: Because zinc is required to synthesize auxins (growth hormones), ZSB application leads to vigorous shoot and root development.
  • Improves Yield and Quality: Enhances photosynthesis and starch conversion, which significantly increases crop yield and the quality of the final harvest.
  • Reduces Chemical Costs: Mobilizes native soil zinc, allowing farmers to substantially reduce the application of expensive chemical zinc fertilizers.
  • Improves Soil Health: Leaves no chemical residue. Regular use increases the beneficial microbial population in the soil, restoring natural soil fertility and health over time.

Mode of Action

  • Soil and Root Colonization: Once applied to the seeds or the soil, the dormant zinc-solubilizing bacteria activate, multiply rapidly, and colonize the rhizosphere (the area immediately surrounding the plant roots).
  • Organic Acid Secretion: These bacteria secrete highly specialized organic acids (such as gluconic acid and citric acid) along with specific enzymes.
  • Solubilization: The organic acids lower the local soil pH and break the complex chemical bonds holding the zinc in its insoluble sulphide, oxide, or carbonate forms.
  • Bio-Availability: The trapped zinc is converted into a bio-available, soluble ionic form (Zn2+) that the plant roots can immediately absorb.

Dosage

  • Seed Treatment Dosage: 10 ml to 20 ml per kg of seeds.
  • Seedling / Root Dip Treatment Dosage: 10 ml to 15 ml per liter of water.
  • Soil Application (Broadcasting) Dosage: 1 to 2 Liters per acre.
  • Drip Irrigation (Fertigation) Dosage: 1 to 2 Liters per acre.

Method Of Application

  • Seed Treatment Method: Mix the liquid ZSB with a small amount of water to create a slurry. Coat the seeds evenly and dry them in the shade for 30 minutes before sowing.
  • Seedling / Root Dip Treatment Method: Dip the roots of seedlings (like paddy, tomatoes, or onions) into the solution for 15 to 20 minutes before transplanting them into the main field.
  • Soil Application (Broadcasting) Method: Mix the 1-2 liters of ZSB liquid with 50-100 kg of well-decomposed Farmyard Manure (FYM) or compost. Leave the mixture under the shade for a few hours, then broadcast it evenly over the field before sowing or during the early growth stage.
  • Drip Irrigation (Fertigation) Method: Feed directly into the drip irrigation system so the bacteria are delivered directly to the root zone.

Additional Information

  • Avoid Chemical Mixing: Do NOT mix BACF ZSB directly with chemical zinc sprays, bactericides, harsh chemical pesticides, or copper-based fungicides, as these will kill the live microbial strains.
  • Gap Period: Maintain a gap of at least 7 to 10 days between the application of ZSB and any harsh chemical inputs.
  • Soil Moisture: Bio-fertilizers are living organisms and require moisture to thrive. Always ensure the soil is adequately moist during and after application.
  • Storage: Store the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Use within the recommended shelf life for maximum efficacy.
