  • It contains Penoxsulam 2.67% OD.
  • It is an advanced, selective, broad-spectrum post-emergence systemic herbicide formulated in an innovative Oil Dispersion (OD) system, delivering outstanding control against major grasses, sedges, and broadleaf weeds in paddy fields
  • PENOSUN Herbicide is used against Echinochloa crus-galli (barnyard grass), Echinochloa colona (jungle rice), Cyperus difformis, Cyperus iria, Fimbristylis miliacea, Scirpus spp., Ludwigia parviflora, Eclipta alba, Sphenoclea zeylanica, Monochoria vaginalis, and Commelina benghalensis.
  • It is recommended for transplanted paddy (rice), direct-seeded rice (DSR), and wet-sown paddy.

Mode of Action

  • Mode of Entry: Absorbed rapidly through weed foliage, stems, and root systems, translocating systemically through both xylem and phloem vessels directly to the active growing points (meristems).
  • Mode of Action: Acetolactate Synthase / Acetohydroxyacid Synthase (ALS/AHAS) Inhibitor (HRAC Group 2 / Group B). It blocks the biosynthesis of essential branched-chain amino acids (valine, leucine, and isoleucine), causing immediate arrest of weed cell division and growth, followed by chlorosis, purpling of growing tips, necrosis, and complete plant mortality within 10 to 15 days.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Comprehensive 3-Way Paddy Weed Control: Controls grasses (especially barnyard grass), tough annual sedges, and broadleaf weeds simultaneously in a single early post-emergence application.
